Winter is one of my favorite times of the year. There is something about the snap in the air, the brisk wind, and even the snow that makes me feel more alive! When I was little, we lived on a farm and the winters were cold and the snow (especially in drifts) got deep. We had no bathroom in the farmhouse so we dug paths to the outhouse out back. (No, I am not that old, just lived in a log cabin built by my grandfather and left it the way it was originally built)...I digress...anyway, a favorite memory of mine was waking in the middle of the night and going out to the old chicken coup converted to a modern outhouse. Walking through the snow, my head barely popping over the height of snow (I was little) and I would see the sparkle and glitter of the moonlight on the snow. I was transfixed...it was magical! Winters Spell was created from those memories!!
